Interesting “big data” opportunity to assist in developing a national poverty reduction strategy in Indonesia:
We are looking for a consultant available on short notice for the next couple of months to conduct research on poverty and vulnerability in Indonesia for the National Team for Accelerating Poverty Reduction (TNP2K). The remuneration is competitive, and the consultant can work remotely.
The National Team for Accelerating Poverty Reduction (TNP2K) has been created under the Vice-President to lead the coordination and oversight of all social programs under the national poverty reduction strategy. It is supported by AusAID, under the Poverty Reduction Support Fund. TNP2K has established a Unified Database for Social Protection Programs which contains information on the poorest 40% households in Indonesia, it is the largest database of its kind in the world. To contribute to improve the data collection and poverty estimations strategies, we are seeking a short-term consultant on poverty and vulnerability analysis. Successful candidates should have a master’s degree and preferably be enrolled in a doctoral program in economics. Experience in poverty and vulnerability analysis, strong methodological skills, proven writing skills and the ability to work independently are essential prerequisites.
